Sofwave is popular with both men and women of all skin types and tones, due to its outstanding, natural looking results.
Many clients notice a fresher appearance starting to emerge several weeks after just one treatment session. However, we often recommend a three-monthly review visits so that we can take additional photos to compare and monitor your results over time with the final outcome developing over 12 months.
SUPERB™ (Synchronised Ultrasound Parallel Beam) technology is the key to Sofwave’s success. The handheld device delivers high-intensity, high-frequency sound waves that penetrate the skin to a depth of 1.5mm. This generates heat within the mid-dermis which stimulates the fibrous tissue. As a result new collagen and elastin is produced, lifting and tightening the skin.
Sofwave has already been gifted multiple awards, and is being described as one of ‘the best game-changers’ within the aesthetics industry. And, although it’s commonly used to rejuvenate the face and neck, it can also help to improve cellulite (short-term) and lax skin on the body.

Who is suitable for Sofwave?
Many clients requesting Sofwave are are aged between 40 and 60. This is when facial wrinkles and lax skin are particularly noticeable, and cause a change in facial contouring. Best results are achieved in those who have mild to moderate concerns.
Is Sofwave safe?
This treatment is FDA approved, and is therefore considered to be safe. At Beau Boutique Salon we require our clients to attend a pre-treatment consultation to determine their suitability which is based on their individual concerns, the achievable outcome and their general health.
Is Sofwave painful?
Delivering sound waves to the deeper layers of the skin is a pain-free process and doesn’t usually require the use of an anaesthetic. Clients have reported feeling a warming sensation as the treatment progresses. The Sofwave device contains a built-in cooling system (Sofcool™) which is designed to protect the outer layer of the skin.
Are there any side effects or risks?
Side effects are usually very mild, and can include skin irritation and slight swelling. However, these are temporary effects that have usually resolved within a few hours. In very few cases, skin discolouration and bruising has occurred, which are also temporary and often subside in 5-7 days. Clients can contact the salon at any time to discuss concerns following treatment.
What results can I expect?
Whilst an instant tightening effect can occur, giving some rapid results, the initial outcome will take around 12 weeks to develop.
Clients can expect their skin to gradually become smoother and firmer, gently lifting to produce a more youthful and rested appearance.
As the ageing process will continue, top-up procedures every 12 months will help to slow down the progression of age-related concerns, and maintain a fresher look.
At Beau Boutique we like to invite our clients to return every 12 weeks so we can take follow-up photos and compare before images as well as monitor the ongoing progress over the initial 9 months following the treatment.
