Who is suitable for a relaxing skincare facial?
Medik8 is a traditional, hands-on facial meaning the treatment is wholly conducted by the therapist using their hands and it does not incorporate any machines.
They are fantastic facials both for those who’ve never had a facial before and those who’ve been having them for years as it combines results for your skin with the indulgence of relaxation. Please contact us to check contraindications on any of our facials (skin conditions, pregnancy etc) prior to booking if you are unsure. As the products used can be tailored to your skin, the Medik8 facials are suitable for all skin types.
Are relaxing skincare facials safe?
Each Medik8 facial is tailored to suit your particular skin type, making it very safe for a wide range of people. A pre-treatment consultation will help us to determine which facial is most suitable for you.

Are there any side effects or risks?
After determining your suitability for one of these facials, as well as which one will produce the best results, you’ll find there is low risk of developing adverse side effects. However, there is a chance your skin will feel a little more sensitive than usual, and in some cases the skin may also start to flake.
What results can I expect?

Teens Facial
As you reach your teenage years your skin can start to cause you problems. Whether you are looking to minimise oily skin, fight back acne or just want a clearer complexion, then our facial specifically for teenagers is the answer that you’ve been looking for.
Your treatment will include skin analysis, a double cleanse with steam to make sure we do a really good deep cleanse, an exfoliation is carried out to remove any dead cells which may be blocking your pores and extractions are done to help clear congestion. A masque is then applied which is customised depending on what your skin needs are, your therapist will apply her chosen aftercare for you and discuss your home care.
This is a fantastic treatment to help clear a teenage skin while also providing education on how best to treat their skin! Parents are more than welcome to come along too. We require written consent from a parent or guardian if you’re under 16 years old.
