5 reasons why you should consider Lumecca IPL treatment this Autumn

At our skin clinic in Ashford, Kent, we chose to introduce the Lumecca IPL treatment because it can be used on all areas of the body, with most common areas of treatment including zones that are regularly exposed to the sun: face, neck, décolletage, legs, hands and arms.

Over the last few years our clients have gotten incredible results from this powerful procedure which has made it one of our most popular treatments. We also offer bespoke packages for clients that require multiple areas treated and our skin experts can also advise on maintaining the best results by prescribing products from our skincare ranges that include Obagi, ZO and Cellderma.

So why should you have Lumecca IPL this Autumn?

Below we give you the lowdown on the five main reasons we think you will love our Lumecca IPL skin rejuvenation treatment. Although we provide this treatment all year round, the Autumn is the most popular time for our clients to start a course of Lumecca treatments because of the change in weather as it is easier to stay out of the sun. We do advise that you follow a good skincare routine anyway and always use a factor 50 SPF to prolong and support the ongoing results.

1. Lumecca IPL treats multiple skin concerns

Lumecca is an intense pulsed light (IPL) device that uses light energy to destroy unwanted pigment in the skin. The treatment starts working immediately, and you should see improved skin over the coming days. Brown spots may appear darker at first, but will then flake off. Lumecca can address a variety of skin issues, including (but not limited to): hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, rosacea, and acne scars.

2. Lumecca is non-invasive

Lumecca is a non-invasive treatment that doesn’t require incisions or anaesthesia. Lumecca IPL is not generally described as a painful treatment. Most patients report feeling a mild tingling while the procedure is being carried out, with a prickly sensation occurring when the light flashes. At your initial in-clinic consultation you will have a thorough skin analysis as well as a patch test prior to any course of treatment being prescribed. This is to ensure your comfort, safety and ensure you have no contraindications or side-effects.
