All clients wishing to use Electrolysis as a treatment for blemish removal must have a skin test prior to starting any course of electrolysis treatments.

Electrolysis can remove (in most cases) the lesion in one session.

Electrolysis sessions are not limited to number of lesions. 

We can remove multiple lesions of the same type and in the same general area in the time of the session (must be the same type of lesion, cannot be multiple types or completely different areas). 

We will advise clients how long they need to book for at the skin test and consultation appointment, required prior to any electrolysis treatments for new clients.

Electrolysis can remove (in most cases) the lesion in one session.

The electrical current passes down a probe and into the skin where it effectively cauterises the blemish enabling it to be removed without surgery and with minimal discomfort. In most cases, only a few treatments may be needed to achieve results, but results do vary and are individual.

The electrolysis treatment has been successfully used for many decades having started in the early 1900’s where electrolysis was often used to treat broken capillaries, warts, and spider thread veins. Since then the technologies and techniques have continually progressed, and we use the most up to date Sterex equipment in order to give our clients the very best results.

Skin blemishes may change in size or appearance, and we advise checking your moles regularly and seeing your doctor immediately if you are concerned or if you notice any changes (e.g. change in colour, shape or size, any discharge or irritation).

For certain blemishes we will require written GP consent. We will refuse treatment and recommend referral if we are at all in doubt as your safety is our out most priority.

Electrolysis clients generally describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable, with a warm stinging sensation which they find to be easily tolerable.

Clients often ask what the down time is for the procedure. This does depend on the blemish you are having treated. Generally allow two weeks after the treatment for swelling, redness and scabs/crusts to disappear, with results being more easily visible up to a month later. This can be discussed in detail at your consultation.
